According to reports of ОКNА МЕDIА portal, from March 10 - 13, 2011 the Tüyap Exhibition Center in Istanbul hosted a 3-in-1 event for the glass resp. window sector - the „Glass Expo Istanbul“, the „Istanbul Window“ and the „Door Expo“ where Lisec, one of the industry-leading manufacturers of glass processing machinery, also took part.

The exhbition stands of 545 exhibitors from 21 countries covered all of the 98.000 m2 of the 12 pavilions. Around 40.000 experts visited the show. Approx. 85 % Turkish visitors were registered, most of them came from Istanbul and its surroundings. The main part of the 15 % of foreigners came from Iran. Turkey and particularly the mega city on the Bosporus are currently investing in respectable building projects with modern glass design which makes this market quite interesting for manufacturers of insulating glass lines and glass processing machinery.



LiSEC showed a combined float and laminated glass cutting line for medium production capacities featuring a tiltable high-precision cutting table for direct loading. The numerous visitors acclaimed not only the high cutting speed and the easy operation of the machine but especially the extremely high cutting quality of the laminated glass sheets. Comparing to other exhibitors there were worlds apart.

Although the Turkish market in general is not easy to deal with – there are a lot of local manufacturers offering glass machinery for the basic segment for incredibly low prices.
