ОКNА МЕDIА portal together with marketing center О.К.N.А. Маrketing summed up the results of window market survey for October 2010. Based on these results you can speak about certain advance in prices (4%) of plastic windows on the territory of Russian Federation.

Here is a brief mid-fall review of Russian window market (%):

- in the regions the cost of plastic windows was raised by 3,9% amounting to 4 859 RUR per sq.m, while «turnkey» price (with installation) of plastic windows was raised by 2,8%, which is equivalent to 7 498 RUR per sq.m;
- In Moscow area the cost of plastic windows was raised by 3,4% amounting to 5 232 RUR per sq.m, while «turnkey» price (with installation) of plastic windows was raised by 2,1%, which is equivalent to 8 185 RUR per sq.m.

As it has been forecasted, October brought certain price balance, as advance in cost of raw materials was rather predictable.

This month the prices of plastic windows were also controlled by existing supplies of market players.

This November weather conditions are very favourable for window manufacturers and let them expect continuing high demand for plastic windows.

As to the cost of window constructions, they will depend on prices of oil and EURO/RUR exchange rate. If the cost of surrounds will continue to grow, manufacturers will have to decide whether to increase the prices.
