ОКNА МЕDIА portal together with marketing center О.К.N.А. Marketing summed up the results of window market survey for August 2010. Totally, the following data are indicative of a certain small decrease in cost of plastic windows.

In the regions the average price of plastic windows was reduced by 1,4%, amounting to 4 416 RUR per sq.m, while the cost of «turnkey» PVC windows decreased by 2,5%, amounting to 6 803 RUR per 1 sq.m.

And in Moscow the price of plastic windows was also a bit reduced by 0,2%, amounting to 4 864 RUR per sq.m, while the cost of «turnkey» PVC windows decreased by 1,3%, amounting to 7 543 RUR per 1 sq.m.

Surely, weather was far from favourable for window manufacturers in August. No one wanted install windows in conditions of smog and intolerable heat, especially in the capital.

The saying "my home is my castle" became unusually acute in August. And air tightness of windows was subject to special testing.

However, in September when the heat is abated one can expect increase in cost of plastic windows.

And improved demand for windows in September may in turn result in extension of installation terms, as well as lack of surrounds.
